In this release, we have introduced a new Location Driven Geotriggers sample to demonstrate how to use the Geotrigger functionality in ArcGIS Runtime to monitor the device’s location and you a notification when you enter or leave a geographic area. The samples are available on AppStudio desktop to view and modify the source and in the AppStudio Player app, where you can run a live version of the sample on any supported device. The 80+ live samples in the AppStudio Samples gallery are a resource that most AppStudiousers cannot live without. QtCreator version updated to 5.0.2 to support Qt5.15 qml language improvements.

Adaptive icons are now supported for Android apps. Cloud make has been improved to support iOS 15 when using an enterprise certificate to sign an app. On Android, the Positioning plug-in has been improved to provide more information about the location.

The ImageObject component has been enhanced to support loading of images from a hosted source using an HTTPS URL, allowing apps to download images and store them locally. New restart method in the AppFramework component allows an app to be restarted automatically. The highlights of AppFramework key features and enhancement in this release are as follows: but are necessary and commonly used for developing AppStudio apps. If you users of the app to take data offline you need to simply define an offline map area (or multiple areas) in the web map used in your app. In addition, the Nearby template in 5.2 now has offline support. This feature is useful for users exploring maps such as hiking trail elevations. This elevation chart is interactive, just tap any point on the elevation chart to see elevation details and the corresponding location on the line feature. With AppStudio 5.2, you can now view the elevation profile of a selected line feature. We’ve continued working on the Nearby template and are excited to share some of the new features and enhancements added to this release. 
The template is based on the popular ArcGIS Instant Apps Nearby web app but designed to run natively on a mobile device. This template provides a simple native app experience to discover what’s nearby and includes filters to narrow your search results by distance or feature category. The Nearby template was introduced in the last release, AppStudio 5.1. ArcGIS Runtime has been updated to 100.12.Zone lookup and Nearby templates – Added support to show feature attachments.Attachment Viewer template – New feature attribute editing capability.Nearby template – New elevation profile and offline support.This release includes many new feature enhancements and foundational updates to the product suite. Today we are excited to announce ArcGIS AppStudio Version 5.2.
